We handle the clearance of an estate home from start to finish, with care and discretion. Keepsakes are saved and the home is left clean for handover or sale.

What the clearance includes

One provider handles everything, so you do not need to coordinate several companies.

    We go through the home with you or on your behalf and agree what is kept.

  • Keepsakes saved

    Photos, documents and important items are packed and sent to you.

  • We buy the contents

    We can buy the contents, which lowers the cost of the clearance.

  • Charity and recycling

    Some usable items are donated to charity, some are recycled and the rest goes to proper waste handling.

  • Transport

    We handle all transport, including storage rooms, basements and attics.

  • Final cleaning and report

    The home is cleaned, keys are returned and you get a final report with photos.

How the price is set

Every home is different, so we always give a fixed price for your home. The price depends on:

  • The size of the home and amount of contents
  • Floor and access to a lift
  • Storage rooms, basements, attics and garages
  • Amount and type of waste
  • Optional final cleaning

If the contents have value, this can lower the price or cover the clearance entirely.

What is needed before the clearance

The clearance requires the estate’s permission. In practice one of these is enough:

  • Signatures from all heirs, or
  • One heir’s signature with powers of attorney from the others, or
  • The estate administrator’s signature
  • A copy of the estate inventory or family tree report, if available

Questions about estate clearance

Do I need to be there?

No. We can handle the whole clearance on your behalf and report with photos. Keys can be sent by post or through the property manager.

How quickly can it be done?

The schedule is agreed once you accept the quote. A typical apartment usually takes one to a few days.

Can the clearance happen before the estate inventory?

Often yes, when the heirs agree. Important documents are kept for the estate inventory.
